My current research includes the implementation of several high throughput genomic technologies to identify the genetic factors influencing or causing multiple sclerosis. The objective of one project is to identify the genetic influences on gene expression in relation to MS (genetical genomics). The goal of another project on which I am working is to find, using SNP-CGH, genomic duplications or deletions that play a role in MS. Other areas of research in which I am working include cell surface protein expression, differential allelic expression, and candidate gene analyses.
