NIH-funded post-doctoral positions are available immediately for motivated candidates with background in genetic epidemiology, molecular biology, signaling, EAE/MS immunobiology, stem cell biology, computational biology, and clinical neurology.

Staff Research Associate Level II (SRAII) Position Opening

A bright, hardworking and highly motivated individual with strong communication and superior analytical and organizational skills is sought by the Department of Neurology, University of California at San Francisco. This position is open at the SRAII level. Appropriate Bachelor's degree in biology is required. The selected individual will primarily serve as a molecular biology technician for ongoing research project related to the genetics and immunology of multiple sclerosis.

Duties and responsibilities will include preparation of DNA/RNA, real-time PCR, sample preparation for microarrays, general molecular biology techniques. Experience with DNA/RNA purification and handling, RT-PCR is required. Proficiency in bioinformatic analysis and computer programming are a significant plus. Cell culture, and other techniques may be required for some projects.
Attention to details, and excellent record-keeping abilities are essential.
